Attended a very fun silk art party. It's a great event idea for corporate or personal group events as they will come to you! Check them Phone#(949) 424-3458.

What a fun event... everyone can do this and you get to take home your own beautifully designed silk scarf! You simply hold the acrylic paint bottle (colors of your choosing) above the water and let a few drops on the starch water mixture. It is something a toddler can do. This could also be a fundraising event with a sponsor to pay the costs and the participants write a check to the non profit! Big fun, very quick to do, and the donors get to take home their own masterpiece.

Meet the owner, Star, and see the process in action. Thanks Annie for hosting the party. It was fun to create, enjoy delicious food, and loved meeting new friends!

Got to chat with Terri and Karen while munching at the food table ... see "Meet Terri" and "Meet Karen" videos. Also got to have a sit down with Elaine, who's perspective represents many women's point of view as well in "Meet Elaine". Love every chance I can get to gather different perspectives from other women on fashion and what solutions they are using for their wardrobe-work challenges.

Until next time!

Meet Karen Lemmon, who also attended the party. A few of us were having a great convo and snack at the party and I thought it would be good to find out how these professional women are addressing their life/work wardrobing challenges.

Karen has a special challenge as the legal profession has distinct dress codes for court but not all offices keep strict dress codes for office where they do a lot of research, writing, teamwork with their groups per case, mostly shuffling cases and spending time on the phone with clients. Some offices are divided into a public section where clients are greeted and taken back to specific offices and there are private admin office areas as well.

Enjoy hearing from Karen and learning how she balances her clothing choices in her most important career!

Another impromptu meeting with Elaine, a woman I have known for several years. She is a great role model for confidence and acceptance on ourselves.

It reminds me of a quote, “There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.”
